Bangs or No Bangs?

So I grew my bangs out over the last 2-3 years and now I am thinking that I want to go back to a little bit of bang....hmmmm :/  Could it be a case of the grass is always greener on the other side?

The biggest issues that I have is that my hair is so thick and heavy that my bangs had always been too much. Just heavy and overpowering.....I used to get them thinned!  Another big issue was that my hair is naturally wavy and having naturally wavy bangs is not cute.

So here are some that I like. I just don't know if this will be what they look like on my head with my face, though!

Love this side swept look.....I am not really into the full, blunt, thick bangs look so these are along the right lines for me.

Below is a good example of Reese with a similar style to what I have now and then also with some bangs.  I like the length on these because it looks like they could also be easily put back with the rest of her hair. I like that option for sure.

So why am I considering bangs again? Well, let me say that I have really been considering since pretty much the day after they were probably officially considered part of my hair - ugh!  Maybe I am just super fickle.  I just am feeling like I look older than I need to and that possibly bangs would help bring a little more youth back to my face.  I originally thought if I grew my bangs out that it would allow me to not spend as much time fussing with my hair (like I would just pull my hair back anytime I didn't have to be somewhere, but that really never happens!). It really hasn't changed the way that I take care of my hair at all. I am just feeling like having bangs wouldn't add any more time to my general routine.

What do you think?  Have any of you been thinking of going with some bangs or growing yours out?
I really look forward to hearing from you all!!

  1. I had bands a while back and it took me ages to grow them out.....and then I feel like I want side bangs again! Oh, decisions, decisions.

  2. I always have the WORST luck with bangs. A few years ago the stylist cut the worst bangs possible and I am still trying to recover!

  4. I love your hair! The color is fabulous, and I wish I could get my hair to have waves like that. I have naturally wavy hair, too, but I straighten it everyday because I don't know how to fix it wavy. And I'm the same way...I'm constantly changing my hair up. I mostly do color changes (I'm a HUGE highlight fan!), but I've done the growing-out/cutting-back thing with my bangs a few times. It's just human nature to want change. But I think your hair would be beautiful with the side bangs. Not so severe as the first picture, but more like the Reese picture. Your hair is so similar to hers already. I think you should go for it!
